| David Cook One Year On Fan Forum
 By Ana Today the David Cook board celebrates its one year anniversary on Fan Forum. June 30th 2008 was the happy day when the Cookies found their new home here.
During this year we've taken an amazing ride alongside our Idol. We experienced the AI tour and various Mavid dances, some of us in person and the rest of us through YouTube. We spent the following fall waiting for the major label debut album and first single, all the while talking about, listening to and loving the amazing music David had already put out. And then Davember finally arrived and it was more than we could have ever expected. We welcomed DCTR with open arms and watched in awe it go platinum in two months. We saw David, Andy, Neal, Kyle and Joey's first appearance as a band (aka BOUH) on Saturday Night Live and since then we've watched them becoming an even more awesome and impressive live act on the Declaration Tour '09, which again, some of us have been fortunate enough to experience in person, the rest of us vicariously through YouTube. We've even witnessed the guys' first step towards world domination in the Philippines in May.
We've been with David through his ups and downs. We've observed his various fashion phases and changes of hair style. We've watched every TV appearance (like his two visits "home" on AI this season), read every interview, ogled tons and tons of pictures and stayed up long nights to post over 106K times already. We've laughed and cried with him. And most importantly, we've spent every day loving every note and every lyric of David's music, old and new. His music is why all of us and the board are here in the first place.
We'd like to take this opportunity to thank everyone who's been with us during this year, in the past or now. You make the board what it is. We hope you will be here for the next year too, and many more to come. We love David for everything he is as a person and a musician and his music will keep bringing us together. He's our Idol forever.
