THE GOONIES 2 - This thing has been off and on for years. A month or two ago, there was heavy speculation that a sequel was going to be announced, then Richard Donner said no. Now, original writer, Chris Columbus, says that a sequel is still possible. He does raise some questions on if it would work since "adventures" to kids nowadays are 'online'. He is making a new movie with Joe Pantoliano, and they have talked about Goonies 2. So, I guess the possibility is still in the air. This is the first time I have heard Columbus talk about a sequel. IN OTHER NEWS, there is a big Goonies reunion planned for next year to celebrate the 25th anniversary. |
