| She's not as anti-Gizzie as the others. In fact, she responds to some of the comments and mentions the linen closet scene as her 11th favorite scene and specifies how much emotion TR was able to convey without a word.
In fact, I'm not even sure she's anti-Gizzie. She states they had a failed romance, but it's true. Failed means they didn't stay together.
She nowhere says they were wrong or disgusting or a disaster.
She then talks about their special connection.
She obviously loves George and admires TR and you sense it in whatever she writes.
Gwen, yeah, my schedule is tough. We do 9 hours to 13 hours every night, starting at 4 pm and ending at 1 am or later, but we got a lot of vacations. 13 weeks. That makes up a bit for it. Plus the fact I adore translating. You learn about everything.
Summer with your kids has to be special. Planning any vacation?
I actually was reading ABC soap digest and they were praising Grey as what soaps should be more like.
They mentioned romance, friendship and work.
All I could think of is this show used to be all that, but now they are so based on stereotypes and have reduced their characters to a simple adjective as you say.
Some soaps are able to go against the grain. ATWT, which I don't watch anymore, has a character who is not your typical hunk. He's more the funny type, and his girlfriend looks like a model.
For years the character was written as the asexual best friend of this beautidful bubbly blonde, but a few years back, they gave him his own life and his own girlfriend and finally showed he could be mroe than the asexual friend.
People found it weird at first, but now they love he and his wife together.
Same with Friends. When they started with Mondler, people were so against it, and so many people said Monica was too beautiful for him. The show stayed loyal to them though, and they became one of the most popular couples on the show.
Many fans were starting to accept Gizzie too, but Shonda caved in to the shallowness of some fans and critics way too soon. __________________ Gizzie love forever Gizzie, Nick and Tess, Josh and Reva, Meredith and Derek, Phoebe and Cole, Luke and Laura, Shawn and Belle, Lucas and Peyton, Andy and Prue, Ryan and Marissa, Dan and Serena, Anne and Gilbert, Viki and Ryan, Mallet and Dinah, Phillip and Beth, Ross and Rachel, Kyle and Fish Avvie by Red |
