their story so far:

Scientist meets FBI Agent/Ex-Army Sniper. She's all about fact and numbers and he's all about faith and following your gut. You might call it science vs. romance. They might clash and bicker sometimes, but that's the beauty of it. They accept each other for who they are but at the same time they teach each other, and learn from each other. Yes, these two characters are so different -- like night and day, but yet somehow when they are together - everything makes sense and comes into place...the world seems warmer, safer. She needs him. He needs her. They need each other more than they've needed or will need anyone else, and even though they can't speak the words yet, it's there and it's true. He's her missing piece. She's his missing piece. What it comes down to it, in the end is that these two people are meant to be together. It's really as simple as that. He gives her a reason to believe, a reason to believe in life and love and everything she tried to push away from feeling since her parents abandoned her when she was a teenager. She gives him complete understanding and faith and he would go to the depths of the earth to protect her, he would kill for her, as she would [and has] killed for him. All they have to do with look into each other’s eyes and that's it, their home. Their eyes are the windows to their hearts and souls, for everything they feel they can never say to each other. With every look, every touch you can see the intensity and passion waiting to pour out of them and into each other. Yet they continue to constantly dance around their love and attraction; afraid, terrified to feel what they feel, to 'cross that line' that would change everything. When they finally surrender to their feelings, finally give in to love and realize that meeting each other, becoming partners, bickering with each other, becoming friends, becoming each other's everything, needing each other, and letting themselves need each other and that finding out that it's okay to need someone and let yourself give into love, no matter the risk - was the best thing that ever happened to them. And that the person you are supposed to spend the rest of your life was was right in front of you all along.

Booth: I’m sorry, if Mark and Jason don’t know how lucky they are, than they don't deserve you in the first place.
Brennan: My relationships are temporary ...
Booth: That’s not true, Bones! There is someone for everyone. Someone you are meant to spend the rest of your life with, alright?
You just have to be open enough to see it, that’s all.
