Max and Liz won the second place at lovetripper.com in Romance Hall of Fame top 10 Sci-Fi TV Couples Category!

Just as one touch of the hero's healing hand left its imprint on the show's heroine, the cosmic connection between a girl and her celestial soul mate has left an impression on the hearts of devoted Dreamers which, years after Roswell's final episode, has yet to fade away.

Over the course of three seasons, fans followed the love story of Max Evans (portrayed by actor Jason Behr), an alien hybrid from the famed Roswell incident who defies his stars to be with Liz Parker (played by actress Shiri Appleby), and in so doing this modern Romeo and Juliet create their own destiny.
That's wonderful! I'm so giddy to see Dreamers still loving Max and Liz after all these years. It makes me proud to be a Dreamer!

In the original story it's so much more believable and simple. The royal four thing was so damn stupid and cliché
not to mention that it never made sense and it was so contradictory that it became pathetic and i think that it only ruined the show.
It might have been interesting if the end results didn't turn Roswell into a soap opera with aliens and a baby. It's funny, but sad that Max had to go through all that crap to end up giving up the throne and living on Earth anyway.

the whole thing about their origins seems way more intimate, more real. Less cold like in the television series where Max&Co were basically engineered and they were clones.
At one point i remember that Max got the chance to sense the presence of his original parents, it was sweet even if it lasted for a very small moment. Also Michael for example had a brother and he met him.
I would have preferred TPTB taking the book route for the aliens origins. At least it would have been more believable without all the reincarnated kings, queens, and countrymen drama.

it's one of the reason of why i roll my eyes at the royal four storyline. Because it was useless. Max needed to be a king.. ok but why? the lack of concreteness and real believable reasons was so obvious.
also the whole thing about the royal four saving antar was so lame.
they had no useful informations, the destiny book got translated by a human because they weren't able to understand that language, they had no allies here in earth, they had only one spaceship, the granolith, that they couldn't use twice. Their protectors were enemies and sucked bit time.
I really don't understand how four teenagers with no acknowledge and no allies could have saved a whole planet and kill Kivar&Co. come on!
Not to mention that they were actually 3 people not four if you consider that Tess was an enemy too and Kivar&Co were her allies
I completely agree with you!

We know that they were able to contact them if they wanted (think about Kivar and Brody) but it never happened. No one, in 3 years, ever went to Max in order to tell him "we want you back King". no one. it's very telling.
honestly, it seems to me that the antarians didn't give a single damn about Max&Co.
even in the third season Tess had to return here in order to save herself and her son. I understand that she was a betrayer but the baby was innocent and he was Max's baby too. Still, no one of the supposed "supporters" of the royal four tried to save him from Kivar. If they had tried you can bet that Tess wouldn't have returned into a planet she hated with passion especially when she knew that Max&Co hated her.

from what we know the antarians are pretty fine with Kivar as the king. actions speak louder than words and legends
So true! I believe Max made the right decision at the end to live his life on Earth the way he wanted to. If by some chance ( I highly doubt it) Antar needs saving one day, maybe someone trustworthy will show up and deliver something concrete and helpful to Max.
