Sorry Poddy I got your water heater woes mixed up with Wen! Must still have been half-asleep this morning!

Sorry the mothers are driving you both crazy right now! Negativity gets so old - I really try to fight that in myself and look on the sunny side. In fact, I sing that song sometimes "Keep on the sunny side of life."

LOL, now there are ads for Christianity at the top of the page, and 'learn Biblical Hebrew' at the bottom of the page Oh gosh, I took a class in Biblical Hebrew in college and had to drop it, was the hardest teacher/hardest class!

Wen sorry your Mom was playing fast and loose with her blood sugar! I had one of those blood sugar crashes the other day and hadn't had one in a long time - felt all dizzy and light headed and out of sorts until I had something to eat. Weird (don't have diabetes, but if I eat wrong, sugar shoots up, and then crashes down again). Maggie has the same thing with her, too. Which was good when I visited her in Montreal, because we both had to eat something at regular intervals/didn't forget to eat, as happens with fannish get-togethers sometimes! Forget to eat, forget to sleep.

Bad news about Dominic Monaghan - he doesn't survive this X-Men movie either!
I was very disappointed they killed him off on 'Lost', esp as the show creator said they were so lucky to have him on the show and they would NEVER kill off his character, blabbity blah. But I'd already stopped watching "Lost' by then. I only watched it because Ian Somerhalder was on it, and he was one of the 'first to go.'

I see that 'Private Practice' is picked up for another season - another nice steady paycheck for Mrs Jason for another year! I'm sure he's investing it wisely. Actors have to be so careful with their money because they make a whole lot of it, now and again, and then it might be nothing after that for a long, long time. I would find that a very difficult way to live (not being the queen of budgeting!)

No, I've never dealt with Powerstar by phone, but I just assumed it was some nerdy fan guy in New Jersey running a little business out of his apartment, not any kind of a big operation. That's no excuse for being rude, however! I just saw they have a 'Roswell' soundtrack for sale - and also a Roswell blanket - a new Roswell product, after all this time! I think it might be the (faux) soundtrack that goes with the DVDs though, so I'm not sure about getting it. And I think the Edward blanket has used up my quota of 'fannish blankets' as well!

Saw a nice interview with RobP at 'hisgoldeneyes' talking about How to Be, his earlier movie where he plays a weird guitar playing kid (haha not a huge stretch), except I guess this guy is a really bad musician and writes terrible songs and, well, Rob is not! That's where the acting part came into it. He spoke very well about it and didn't seem as nervous and embarrassed as usual in these interviews. I have that movie on my Netflix list. Also really looking forward to 'Little Ashes' when he's Salvador Dali - that looks totally cool.

Thanks for the Mrs and Mrs Hugh Jackman pix - she really hasn't changed at all, has she, and he's just gotten better looking. Well, he was a bit of a young pup when they met, and now he's turned in Mr Sexy Man! LOL!

I like him, as I've said, but as far as finding him attractive - he does absolutely nothing for me, not sure why. He just seems very pleasant and kind of boring.

Very cool about the plumber's brother! That's so nice, to live in one place a long time and know people. We moved way way too many times growing up to put down any roots. I've lived the longest where I am now, and Mr ML's family lived on that street (and I think his mother before him) so he knows people. Plus, from playing basketball in the park, he knows just about every able-bodied basketball playing man in the city! But the old people die/move away, and the new people are always working and you never get to know your neighbors at all, as close as our houses are in the city, which is too bad. Although sometimes better not to know them - the neighbor next to my brother-in-law across the street took down the fence between their property, and now that she wants to put up a new one, she asked if he'd mind if she took a foot or two of his property!! Well, yeh, he has maybe 2 feet wide of yard on that side of his house and he definitely did mind! The nerve of some people!
