They just confirmed that they're going to split the hobbit (the story) in to the two movies.
For a while, they talked about making the hobbit as one movie, and then an original movie to bridge the hobbit and FOTR. They've scrapped the original part, and will break Hobbit into 2 movies instead.  __________________ "Be quiet brain, or I'll stab you with a Q-tip!"
