| Quote: | I like watching it in order also. I watch it daily (or at least try to) on ABC Family. Right now they are in season 4, the Jason episodes. "Incredible Shrinking Lorelais" is coming up. I love that episode, great L/L moment. I agree with you on the season finale. It breaks my heart watching Lorelai and Rory have to say goodbye. I know they want to have Rory rough it a little, but I still wish she had gotten that fellowship thing she wanted at the NY Times. | You know I have to say that I think that I am in the minority with the series final. I liked how it ended and I didn't mind the ending. Yes, I would have liked to see more of Luke and Lorelai...like a wedding or something, but at least we know that Luke and Lorelai did get back together in the end and were in love.
With regards to Rory, I am glad that they made Rory "rough" it. When college students graduate, reality is that they usually have to take "crap" jobs, or any job just to start somewhere and get their foot in the door. Many graduates get denied jobs, interships and fellow ship programs, sp Rory not getting the NY Times job IMO was realistic. I thought it was good that they had Rory start at the bottom (so to speak).
Moving onto Lorelai and Rory saying good bye that does break my heart. I love the scene where Lorelai is ironing and Rory asks her why she doesn't care that she is leaving and Lorelai says that she will fall apart. It is so sad. Then I also love when Rory tells Lorelai that she gave her everything she needs. So sweet. But I really did like the ending with Lorelai and Rory sitting in Luke's, with Luke in the background cooking and the two of them talking. That is the way the pilot ended so I thought that it was fitting that the series final ended that way. IMO it showed that no matter how far apart Rory and Lorelai were they would always find their way back to one another, be there for one another and talk everything out. __________________ ~Deana
