Hi there..... well it was a business trip and it rained cats and dogs most of the time, so it was OK.
To be honest, Italy does not have the same charm for me that it has for tourists from other countries. Since I was born there..... I kind of..... been there, done that before.... and since I also studied History of Arts in college, I had to study all monuments etc. to death, so I am already familiar with most them.
One thing I was able to finally see was the Domus del Chirurgo (The Surgeon's House) in Rimini. This is a very important archeological complex of the Roman period, built in the late 2nd Century which was discovered accidently decades ago, when I was still going to college there, and it took over 20 years to properly escavate the ruins, bring them to light and made ready for the public last year. That was quite brilliant actually, showing not only the house of the surgeon, with mosaics etc., but also all his tools and instruments. __________________ Lua
