"You better be." Constance whispered as they pulled back from another kiss. She was so happy she convinced him into coming. Not that she would have ever took no for an answer but he could be a stubborn one, even more stubborn than her and she was pretty damn stubborn. 'Come on why do we have to dance before I even get a drink in me? That's not fair, baby.' Constance laughed her head going back a little as Chase took her hand and started to lead her in search of drinks. "Who you calling baby? Your the one that always has to have your way..baby.'" She teased, moving right up close to his face as he narrowed his eyes at her. "You know you love me." She scrunched her nose slightly before closing the distance between them and giving him a short kiss. As he got their drinks she took one of them of his hands, using one hand to hold her drink while the other rested against his chest. She was about to bring up the subject of that dance when she felt his phone viberating beneath her fingers through the material of his suit. Chase must of felt it too because he was already moving to retrieve it. Constance groaned wishing for a moment that she had a husband who actually considered turning of his cell phone. This was the first romantic thing they've done in forever and they were having a great time, the last thing she wanted was "business" to ruin it. "Do not answer that." She said though she didn't know why she even bothered when she knew he wasn't going to listen. You'd think he was allergic to listening with how little he listened to her. 'It'll just be a second.' He promised leaning in. With a playful roll of her eyes she turned her head just a little so he kissed her cheek instead of her lips.
"Make it snappy." She told him just before he answered. At the sound of Molly’s voice Constance turned away from her husband to listen to Molly greet the crowed. She smiled as she listened, proud of her brunette friend. Tonight was going to be a major success and it was all because of Molly. She busted her ass to make sure tonight and everything about it would be perfect. She did one hell of a job too. They’ve been spending a lot of time together since Constance took over for Brenda and the entire experience has mostly just made her wonder why they didn’t become friends sooner. As Molly finished her speech Constance turned back to her husband just as he was slipping his phone in his pocket.'I'll all yours for tonight, I promise. No more business.' Constance nodded, smiling softly as she took a step closer so their was hardly any distance between them. "..Do I have to put your phone in my purse to make sure you keep your word." She teased, clearly only playing around. He gave her that look of his..The irresistible one only he could do. Shaking her head slightly she smiled, giving him a soft kiss. "Come on...You owe me a dance, time to pay up." Constance smiled, pulling him with her to where the dancing was. He wasn't getting out of it this time.
They danced for a couple minutes and as they danced her eyes started to wander around the room. The variety of different dresses and masks were absolutely mesmerizing She was confident she picked the perfect dress for herself but still, it was hard taking her eyes off everyone else‘s. As her eyes searched the crowd she saw various faces moving in and out of the decorative masks among the room. However it wasn‘t until her eyes caught one face that her smile faltered and she stopped dancing all together, frozen by the face. It literally felt like her world stopped moving in that moment. It was…It was Reese. As in Jamie’s mother. But how…how was that even possible? Reese was dead. Killed by one of Lorenzo’s enemy’s just like her own mother was killed by an enemy of her fathers. She couldn’t believe her eyes. She was so shocked she didn’t even notice Reese or the woman who liked like Reese..Whoever she was, she was so stunned by just seeing her she didn’t even notice her leaving until she was at the door. Right away her instincts screamed for her to follow her, so loudly she couldn’t ignore them. “I..um..” Constance looked at Chase just now realizing he was trying to get her attention. She scrambled for an excuse. Anything. Firstly Chase never liked Reese and secondly if she were to tell him what she just saw he would call her crazy. Maybe she was. What other explanation was there for seeing a dead woman. “I have to go use the restroom…I’ll be right back.” With that, she gave him a quick kiss on the cheek before hurrying out of the room.
She had to find this woman. She had to know for certain if she was really Reese or if her eyes had just been playing tricks on her. She wanted to know for Jamie..and for herself too because she almost felt as strongly about this as she would if it was her own mother ‘s face she just saw. Reese was like a second mother to her in everyway that mattered growing up. As she moved down a hallway her pace quickened until she came to the rather large dinning room area. She stopped at the sight of the woman’s figure not more than ten feet away from her. The woman was turned so Constance couldn’t see the woman's face yet but she couldn’t shake the feeling that she was right about who she was. She could just feel it. “…Reese?” She whispered, her voice soft and hopeful. “..Is it really you…Are you really here right now?…Or I have suddenly gone crazy because…How can it be you? How can I be seeing you right now..” She trailed off as she took a step closer in the dark haired woman’s direction, anticipating the moment she would turn around and reveal what Constance inside, already knew. TAG Reese
As Gavin started to tell her how much he loved her and how he never loved anyone else, Audrey really didn't know what to expect. It sounded like something you would say when you were trying to break up with someone..Because much as she loves hearing him tell her he loves her she knows him well enough to know when theirs a but coming and in this case their definitely was. She wanted to tell him to stop. There didn't need to be any but because she wants to stand by him and be there for him no matter what. Why can't he see that? Maybe he does and maybe he just thinks she’s wrong. 'But nothing is ever going to be the same again.I take meds now but it's not like suddenly my disorder is gone. It's always going to be there. And I just...I don't want to hurt you or mess up your life.' He elaborated and Audrey jumped to defend him, wanting to tell him he could never hurt her. Before she could though Gavin managed to stop her by putting his hand up and speaking before she could. 'I'm not saying I want things to be over because that's the last thing I want.I need you in my life.I just...maybe we can slow things down...see how this all goes...try to find a new normal.' He tried to explain. Audrey shook her head slightly in response, staring down at her feet for a momence longer before meeting his eyes.
"Gavin...We haven't seen each other in three months...I wouldn't say we've exactly been on the best of terms in like six months..I don't know how much more we can slow it down than that..." It was true. He'd been gone for three months, that's how long it was since they've had any contact at all..And before that..Before that they were fighting because she didn't understand what was going on with him and she was jealous that for some reason it seemed like Lainey did. So how were they suppose to slow it down anymore than where they were already. "I don't..I don't understand. I mean you say you don't want to break up but when you say something like what you just said..What am I suppose to think Gavin?" Shrugging slightly, she took a step back and put hands to her forehead for a second. "I know you think I'm just some fragile girl but there comes a point when you have to realize I don't need your protection..And I certainly don't need you protecting me from yourself..I..What do you think that I'm just not strong enough to handle it? That I'm not messed up or warped enough to be around you or...or just to understand you?" She was hurt. Of course she was hurt. When he came back breaking up wasn't what she pictured them doing..Making up, yes but not this..not this messed up conversation that she couldn't even begin to understand. Why was he making this harder than it had to be? Why was he shutting her out and closing himself off to her?
"Sorry." Morgan apologized for sneaking up on her. "Not my intention." He added with a slight laugh. 'But it’s fine. I was just taking a look around. Port Charles sure knows how to throw a party.' Morgan smiled softly as he looked around as well. He thought of Molly and how much she'd accomplish. It made him question the rash decision making he made when he decided to take off without hearing Molly out. She was doing so well for herself, she had come so so far. Maybe she wanted a fresh start, maybe she wanted nothing to do with Carver's games and conning ways. "You have the hostess to thank for that. She's an pretty ambitious one." Morgan told her, without letting her in on just who Molly Lansing was and what his connection with her was. 'After you.' Felicity said, following after him. 'So, what’s a new girl in Port Charles to expect from this town?' She asked and Morgan couldn't help but smile with amusement. The old age question every newcomer to PC asked. With a small laugh, he shook his head. "I'm not sure you wanna know the answer to that one." He responded, taking a drink from his wine.
As they entered the ballroom together he went on. "Let's just say..Things have a way of remaining interesting around here..It's never boring in Port Charles." He rephrased shrugging his shoulders slightly. When they came to a table he pulled out a chair for her. After she took her seat he sat down in the chair next to her. The ballroom was really starting to fill up as all the guests filing in now. Looking around he saw some of his friends and relatives behind the decorative masks. His sister Constance was there dancing and having a ball which was to be expected since she was running Brenda's company for the time being. Brenda's modeling agency and Molly's magazine were naturally in business together. which meant his sister and Molly had probably been spending time with one another as of late. He just hoped his name was being left out of any girl talk they may or may not be having. That just wouldn't be good. "So..Where do you hail from Felicity?" Morgan asked her with a small grin. "You've been coming in and out of the police station for weeks now since getting that job with the DA..and in all the talking we've done I don’t think I ever asked you where your from.."
It wasn't long after Molly greeted the room that she came over to them. As her sister told them she was glad they decided to come, Ridley nodded. "It took some convincing..on his part." She told her with a small shrug while eyeing Eric. It wasn't a lie. When they got to the docks she was thisclose to backing out and she would have if Eric hadn't convinced her otherwise. The thing was her reasoning for not wanting to be there had nothing to do with Molly and Eric and everything to do with the fact that Jamie and Laura were there together..probably as a couple. (shudder). Eric wondered if he should leave them alone for a moment and even though Ridley wasn't sure she wanted him to she knew she needed it. Molly and her needed to talk. And Ridley needed to ask her about some things to but she wasn't entirely certain right here and now was the best time for the Eric discussion. Actually she knew it was but her determination was a whole another story. "Could you? I'm sorry..I just..I need a few moments alone with my sister." She said, looking from him to Molly. Being the incredibly understanding boyfriend he'd been since the start Eric agreed, giving her a quick kiss before leaving them to themselves. "Molly..I just don't want to fight with you. I mean we barely even talk anymore, I hate that. You just came back into my life not all that long ago and..it just shouldn't be like this." Ridley sighed, hoping they would at least be able to agree on the fact that they both hated this.
Looking around for a brief moment, she managed a small smile. "The place looks..unrecogonizable. You've done a truly amazing job and I'm so soproud of you..I really hope you know that." She was extremely proud of her sister and she wanted her to know that, she needed her to. “But that’s not why I wanted to talk you alone…” Ridley went on as they slowly walked, stopping near one of the many little round tables. “It’s about Eric.” She revealed not entire sure how to approach the subject. It was extremely hard to admit she might have been wrong after everything she’s said and done. Sighing, Ridley sat down at the table and tried to think of the best way to say what she needed to say and ask what she needed to ask. “Jamie…He’s said some things about Eric. He doesn’t trust him and I just..I can’t ignore this anymore. I know Eric’s not being completely honest with me, I’ve always known I just never wanted to see it. I know there’s something he’s not telling me and I know there’s something you aren’t telling me either..” Ridley trailed off. There wasn’t exactly a question in any of that but she knew Molly knew what she was asking.
“Believe me I would much rather go on pretending that nothings wrong and everything is fine and normal but…I can’t do that anymore.” Not at the risk of losing Molly and Jamie over a man she didn’t even really know..There was too much at stake. No matter how much she wants to believe she knows Eric, what if she doesn't? What if she never did? It’s not easy for her to come to terms with by any means but she really doesn’t have a choice anymore. “You have to know how extremely hard it was for me to come to you with this…So please, whatever it is just tell me.” Ridley wasn’t sure if would be able to believe whatever Molly did have to say..It depended on what it was really but for the sake of the people she loves she was sure as hell going to try..Much harder than she did the first time Molly came to her about Eric. Easier said than done. __________________ Jason♥Carly Noah♥Rachel Nate♥Jenny Carter♥Serena Clark♥Chloe Together in all these memories I see your smile.
