TV series take a back seat to motherhood
"Private Practice star Kate Walsh is making motherhood-not her show-her top priority!
The former "Grey's Anatomy" actress has decided that its's prime time to start a family, and she's not even considering what a pregnancy would man for her ABC show, says a sources.
"Kate wants a baby NOW - and she doesn't care how it will impact her TV character or the story lines on the series," an insider told the Enquirer.
"She's 41, she quit smoking and she's trying like mad to have a child."
Now that she's got her dream job, a successful marriage to film producer Alex Young, 38, and a new home in the leafy Los Feliz neighborhood of Los Angeles, Kate's vowed to friends that she'll have a baby in 2009, said the source.
"Kate feels that the timing is right to have a baby, so she and Alex are working overtime to make their dream come true. She's buying pregnancy test's like crazy," added the insider.
The auburned hair actress- who plays Dr. Addison Montgomery on the "Grey's" spin-off - loves her TV gig, but having a family means more to her than anything else, divulged the source.
"The show's producers saythere are no plans for Kate's character to get pregnant," added the insider. "They've simply told her, 'we'll deal with that hurdle when and if it happens."
"She's even joked that since the writers of her series love a challenge, her pregnancy will be a real test for them.
"But that problem is the least of her concerns. She's concentrating on one thing - having a baby and having it soon."
