In all fairness we have no idea why, but remember one thing Shonda has been consistent with is her love for Denny and Dizzie. So I wouldn't be surprised this done by Shonda's own doing since the cast doesn't know anything about future storylines. If they do know about it, then they speak of it after the fact. Normally the cast is kept in the dark

. Izzie is probably one of the most shippable characters on the show. If she stays, then I can see Izzie hooking up with Mark eventually. There is nothing definite about supporting ships. Remember even Shonda said she is constantly changing the ending

Personally, I thought A/I was damaged long before Denny reappeared

. The moment Alex started to be an ass to Izzie at the end of S4/beginning of S5 is what did it in for me as a fan. As a viewer I thought A/I was already damaged due to that, but that's just me

. That's not to say I didn't find A/I cute in "Life During Wartime" because I thought they were very adoreable in those scenes

. However, in all fairness majority of tv show ships get damaged while a show ages lol.

Regardless, Dizzie will be short-lived. Denny will probably be here for a little bit, and will be gone before Feb. sweeps(at the max or even sooner than that). However, how A/I makes it through this heavily depends on whether Katherine is staying or going. If Katherineis going, then most likely A/I will break-up under the pressure. If Katherine is staying, then A/I could still break-up but reunite later on or stay together showing they can overcome obstacles.

This is something that Izzie has to go through. Should have it been done early? Oh heck yes, but that's GA writers for ya ;rolleyes:. Are there other ways to overcome these issues? There always other options, but GA tends to always go the extreme or more soap opera route. Is Izzie intentionally trying to hurt Alex? I don't think she is this time because Izzie wants to move on. She doesn't understand what is happening to, and she is so confused. Due to her confusion it's all unintentional this time.

I agree with Mysha that one of the reasons Izzie keeping Alex at arm's length because Alex had his fill with crazy this year. This is something I mentioned in the Dizzie thread. She knows and seen the toll that was on Alex due to Ava's mental illness. Izzie's yelling in the CTV Promo shows, at least for me, that she does care about Alex. That in reality she has a boyfriend, and she's stuck there with Denny. She knows it, but she's so confused cause in her mind Denny is touchable. Just ever since he died she wanted to see him and touch him again. I can understand that, but yet it's even more tragic for Izzie because she wants to move on. That would be a trip for anyone. So I don't think she is intentionally trying to hurt Alex. I think she is scared out of her mind, and she should be.
