I don't think JKR means those moments are sexually charged. I certainly didn't read them that way. (If anything, I was sort of bored by that point.)
And when it comes down to it, H/Hr didn't happen. They spent all that time alone, they were miserable, and yet it didn't occur to either of them to take solace in each other.
