Sunday night. Hiding from work. Janitor's name ending shot two different ways (tough to live up to the hype, but Neil Flynn helped, and I think it's funny). The Colonel Doctors, etc., were named on set. They were already background performers, and they didn't mind when I named them. The Colonel really looks like the Colonel, Beardface is self-explanatory, but my favorite was originally just named "Black Haired Doctor" until he became Mickhead for a joke. The new interns are funny. They don't overwhelm the show - the regulars are still the stars, but it definitely feels fresh. I liked them all, but I think people will respond to Eliza Coupe, Sonal Shah, and Aziz. Also, one of the guys that starred in this weird show I did a while back called "Nobody's Watching" is my favorite new character "Jimmy the Overly Touchy Orderly". The character Todd is loosely based on both the actor who portrays him and a buddy of mine from college. I'd love to have Brendan Fraser back on the show, but we don't see each other as much anymore, so it's harder for me to beg. The webisodes (out in December) are about the interns, but feature the regulars. I'm not sure J.D. ever beats the Janitor (seriously, drawing a blank) though I loved the one where neither Turk nor J.D. believed in his twin brother ("Did somebody say keep rocking?!"). Thanks again for letting me indulge myself.
