Lets face it. The Bloc Party garnered less popular support than the NDP but managed to secure 50 seats to the NDP's 37. It is what it is. A purely regional party with national status and the ability to influence national outcomes although it only runs candidates in its home province and has no vested interest in the success of Canada as a whole.
