Billy Crudup was born in Manhasset, New York on July 8, 1968. He grew up with his two brothers in Texas and Florida, and attended the University of North Carolina prior to earning his Masters in Fine Arts at the Tisch School of the Arts.
Billy Met his long-term girlfriend, Mary-Louise Parker, while performing in the critically-acclaimed Broadway play, "Bus Stop".
Crudup is pronounced "Crew'd-up". Like screwed up. [img]smilies/wink.gif[/img]
Billy has worked with many accomplished actors (including Julianne Moore, Robert De Niro, Brad Pitt, Drew Barrymoore, Edward Norton, Dustin Hoffman, Penelope Cruz, Cate Blanchett, Micheal Gambon, Ewan McGregor, Danny DeVito, etc…), but he never chooses his roles for attention or fame. In fact, he once turned down an offer for the role of Jack in
Titanic.
