| I like the way he transmits pain. There's something about his eyes especially, that gets to me and make me sadder than I'd be otherwise. I hate to see him sad or broken down on screen because it's utterly believable and upsetting.
Like I said before, in House of Wax when he's being tortured; in Gilmore Girls when Rory's breaking his heart every single day for 2 freakin seasons; in Supernatural when Dean punches him, when he says, "why are you saying this to me?" in "ELAC," in "Home" when he sees Mary and he's so touched and the tear out ouf the corner of his eye, etc, etc. Gosh, he just breaks my heart. Bad Jared! Hee.
I also love the comedy. He's hilarious because you can see him laughing at himself sometimes. In "Plaything," "dude, you're not poking her with a stick" is great because he's so worked up about Dean possibly poking someone with a stick.  There's something very funny about Sam getting bitchy at some random Deanism. |
