| Actually, something like 20,000 of the Gavelstone residents, who were ALL told to evacuate, did not. I don't know any of them personally, so I'm not about to judge the whys and wherefores of their reasons for staying... but not everyone got out.
Fortunately, the death toll seems to have stayed relatively low so far. Can't say the same for Cuba and, especially, Haiti (which just weathered three hurricanes on top of each other, and which wasn't particularly doing all that great to begin with).
All the same, the damages are said to have been conservatively estimated at upwards of $8 billion (in the States, I'm not sure if the entire real estate of Cuba and Haiti combined would amount to that). __________________  Sunny
