I've been thinking about the project, and I think it would be great if we had a section of the book (or magazine or whatever we wind up with) that has our own personal thoughts on his career, why we follow him, how his characters affect us, etc.

I was thinking of starting it out as a letter to Jason from his fans. Something like this:

Dear Jason:

We know that it can be very difficult to be an actor sometimes. We know there is a lot of rejection and missed opportunities in show business. And it can really get you depressed at times.

When you find yourself feeling down, we hope you will read the following letters from your true fans, and that they will help you put that momentary setback in perspective. Everyone needs some positive feedback to keep them going in their career. We are very happy to be able to offer that to you.

Everyone connected with your Birthday Project agrees that you are an awesome actor, and many of your characters have touched our lives in many ways. Read on and find out how.

Please also accept our good wishes for a healthy, happy, wonderful birthday (and many, many more).

With Love From Your Fans

We could list the names and/or handles or the contributors to the project.

We could then each write a personal letter telling him how we feel about Roswell or his movies or his characters, whatever we want. We can include a picture of ourselves so he can put faces to names/handles.

Do we want to have a maximum length to the letters or just let people write what they want?

Who will be collecting all of this? Do we have cover art? Will someone be printing out what we send and putting it on fancy paper or what? Trying to visualize it.

His birthday is in a little less than 4 months, so we need to get moving.

Is anyone there?

Willing to help out in anyway I can.
