it was an example of fate, like Max once said
two people who liked each other and felt attracted but they needed something that could join them even more. the chance to be together
the first moment was when Max saw her when he was just a little boy and she innocently smiled a bit. then the pilot was the moment that gave them the possibility to finally be together.
if it wasn't the shoot then it would have been another thing. sooner or later they were meant to be together.
