About Spencer's hate for Lauren. It really came from the fact that Lauren was constantly calling Spencer on his horribleness. He was messing around on Heidi with Audrina and other girls. Lauren had gone through it with Jason and didn't listen when Heidi tried to help her so being on the other side she tried to help Heidi out. Eventually, Heidi chose to move out with Spencer and their relationship was strained. Then the sex tape scandal hit and Lauren knew Spencer was behind it and that Heidi knew about what he did.
I think Lauren probably also pegged Spencer as wanting to use The Hills to become famous. I really think all he's done is use Heidi and the show but that's my personal opinion.
