We met through the internet, but he lives much closer then that other guy.. so that was 1 bonus

Kind of afraid I suppose that he would be like the 'You've got Mail' guy perhaps? I was a bit tentative.. but in the end he pulled me over, saying he was just a normal guy who wanted to see me,
I had actually explained a recent past situation that didn't end that well, (not too specific) but he understood that and he said that honesty was high up on his list (which I noticed during the few times I saw him)
