Where's the 'Jason news?' Or is that just a wish for some (and if it comes, it will feel like Christmas. Anyway, great new thread-start Poddy.

It's true VB men and women have different metabolism/body makeup, and it's easier for them to lose weight - and easier for us to put it on. Although there are plenty of really fat guys around here too. I think the fast food like McDonald's has caused so many people to get so fat. I just read that in California they want to limit the fast food restaurants opening in poor areas - the only place the poor people have to eat is cheap fattening fast food restaurants. Still, that seems a bit like 'Big Brother' saying where stores can open and where they can't.

I see your Prime Minister, Olmert, is going to step down. Lot of trouble with governments going on lately - Belgium, Turkey. And of course those wacky African dictators who won't step down and are ruining their countries. sigh. We are just having months and months more of President campaigning.

I guess I do like Obama, as McCain is down on the gay issue (and a very crabby old man). I won't actually support him, though, as my support of any candidate is the 'kiss of death' and means they will lose the election!

Oh! I had such a day yesterday! I was walking the dog after work, and just as I bent down with the bag to pick up a poo - a hornet flew into my shirt!

So there I am with a leash in one hand, a bag of dog poo in the other, and something biting me!!! I dropped the leash and stepped on it, tied up the bag, and took off my shirt and shook it out (luckily I had a tank top under it! LOL!) Big black bug flew off and it bit me several times. First I thought it was a mosquito and I'd slapped at it, which just made it annoyed and bite me more.

So of course I'm freaking out wondering if I'm going to find out I'm allergic to those bites and drop dead before I get home, so I hurried home with the dog (I was far far down the end of the park) and put ice on the bites. I don't think they were stings because they didn't swell up or really hurt, they sort of went away after awhile but boy did they sting and burn (like bites of a tiny vampire? ;p) Anyway, that was my bad adventure yesterday!

But the good part was, another installment of 'Torchwood' showed up from Netflix, so I put on the AC, shut the door, and watched 'Torchwood' the rest of the night. Very nice! Didn't particularly like either episode - one was a sappy love story with the most unattractive guy in the cast (he looks like a muppet) and it's bad enough to see him with his clothes on - forget bare in love scenes! Ewww. And the other one was a very disappointing 'fight club' story - it's so been done. "Blood Ties" even had a very similar episode. There was fun 'extra stuff' though and you gotta love Captain Jack! Everybody does - the men, the ladies.

Disappointed though - I thought it was Friday this morning, because MLette got up early. Nope, not Friday yet!
