| People don't like questions...they live in their world firmly rooted in the fact that they have all the answers. Spirits comprise a realm of questions that may never get answered, which means there are unknowns and it's hard to plan for and control the unknown.
Don't get me started on alien life. Space.com just ran an article, in the first to paragraphs they state that stars with disks of dust are exceedingly rare, perhaps less than 10%. I sat for about 1.5 seconds and fathomed what 10% of all the stars amounts to, and it's still in the billions.
