| The Oilers are doing some really smart and good trading so far. Brule, Cole and Visnovsky could bring a lot to the team and they didn't give up that much. They have a young core of players ready to step up in Edmonton. Should be a team to watch in the next few years.
I can't say the same thing about the Kings so far. Trading Visnovsky was a bad move by a rebuilding team. He was the defense quarterback, now they have Johnson, Preissing, Greene and Blake on defense? Unless Johnson steps it up and becomes the first rounder he was suppose to be, the Kings aren't in the playoffs for a few more years. They have some good forwards, and a good goalie coming up. Keep Visnovsky would of helped them a lot more, a lot more then getting Gauthier who's career is going downhill.
WTF is wrong with Tampa? They haven't learned anything from giving long term contracts? So they trade Richards' $8 million contract to sign Malone at 4.5, Vrbata at 3 and Prospal at 3.5. Not to take away anything from those guys, but I'll take Richards over any 2 of those guys. In case the GM at Tampa hasn't notice yet, they still have the same ****ty defense and goalie. |
