He came out of the bathroom in his boxers, his face cleanly shaven. He went over to Nancy and kissed her on the neck. "You look beautiful, darling," he told while taking one last peek down her blouse. He went over to the closet and slipped into a nice pair of jeans and a button-up shirt. He combed his hair and put his watch on. He shoved his wallet in his back pocket and looked out the window. "The limo's here."

"It must be nice," he said. "Getting all of that special attention. Kinda makes me want to be a movie star." He chuckled under his breath because he knew he would never make it in that business. "Would you like to go to the set today?" he asked Laura. "I'd be willing if you went."

"Well, until you get married... someone has to," she said, smiling back at him. She knew that the reasons most of his relationships didn't work out was because he had always wanted to be with someone else, and sadly, she was already taken. Sometimes she felt like she couldn't think about settling down until he had. She was all he had. |
