I liked the episode! Watched it for a second time, this time on my HD CTV version. I'm still very satisfied with the A and B-plots. I think I appreciate the B-plot even more the second time around.

I adored the Marco/Ellie interaction. It just felt like a really nice way to embrace all their history and tackle the subject of how you can get too dependent on a friend. I think it was a smart move to have them hook up. It doesn't bother me that they weren't intoxicated. I think that type of clingynes and sense of desperation is enough. I just totally buy the whole thing. It gets a little complicated when they throw Eric in there, but I understand the decision to include him as a wedge between the two best friends.

I still don't like Eric and no this isn't me just being a lone crazy Devon appreciator. I'm not sure what it is. Maybe it's the same thing Marco first saw, he was just really lame and boring. Agree that this should have been built up more. It kind of seems like Marco is just settling.

Paige was memorable, as she always is.

Sigh, I'm feeling pains as I worry that we are going to see less and less of Paige, Marco, and Ellie. I've always liked the "older class" more than the original "younger class."

Onto a Liberty gush. Wow, I missed her. I wasn't feeling Season 6 and kind of breezed through that whole season. I don't really remember too much of her pregnancy storyline either, sorry Jiberty fans. I think I liked this episode because it reminded me of intelligent driven Liberty. The Liberty from Relax. The Liberty who wanted to do Ashley's morning video announcements. This whole subplot made me enjoy her more. Not that I never have, she's just always been a little on the whatever side for me.

Damien/Liberty? Uh, I like it. It's nothing I'd ever be like gushing over couples-wise but I buy it. From what I understand about Season 6, she didn't go for him at first. I know on other message boards people were freaking out about that, talking about a lack of consitency or something. But it doesn't bother me. Maybe Liberty is finally moving on from JT. It's good. I'm sure she'll always care about him but she can date again, at least casually. I wonder if they will set something up where she starts to have like a survivor's guilt about JT. Agree about it being a shame that it's a whole other love triangle, hopefully it's handled correctly. Yeah, that whole thing makes me nervous, for a lot of reasons.

/End Nicole's essay.
