I think season 1 was all about crushes and unattainable dreams - especially when it comes to LP - but Jake was the first boy Peyton had ever wanted just because she was attracted to him - there wasn't any drama, he wasn't the illegitimate brother of her ex, he didn't want to date Brooke, and I think he actually saw Peyton for the sweet, kinda scared girl she was  |
