| I felt that Dawson's speech was just for show with Joey. He thought that Joey was just going throw a phase and when she was over her "bad boy" she will just come running back again. And Dawson wasn't truly letting Joey going, he was letting her go for a moment, but Pacey's speech was about Joey being happy and wanting her to be with someone that makes her happy and if that wasn't Pacey, he would have been fine with it because all he wanted was for Joey to be happy and in love with anyone. He didn't take jabs at anyone he didn't use words like "Colossal mistake" and "your going to come back to me" none of that pompous stuff. Just him being Pacey and sacrificing his love for Joey. __________________ Life is hard. After all, it kills you.
