I know. No matter how sure I am that she would stick by him through anything, I don't think she would stay for that. Even Julie Benz says Rita would run. She forgave him and tried her best to understand his perspective when he told her about what really happened to Paul. She even tried to help him through his "addiction" after all the **** she went through with being with an addict in the past. It shows how deeply she feels for him but I still think finding out the real truth would be too much for her. She'd run but really, I don't think any person would stay.

I'm pretty positive that Rita is going to drop the "love" bomb on Dexter in Season 3. I can only imagine how he'll respond to that one.

I can't even imagine how Rita would react to finding out about Dexter's dark side. She's had at least one bad relationship with Paul but in her mind, Dexter has been nothing but wonderful, loving and caring to both her and her children. The revelation about Dex would certainly shock her but she might also look at both sides of his nature. 1) He only kills bad people (even though the need to kill in general is part of his nature) and he has, so far, kept from overstepping the Code of Harry. 2) He treats her with respect and that is important to Rita.
