| ML - there was a video that I watched yesterday on MSN about a runway model that was criticised for her fat legs and she's a size 0-2!!! How insane is that? The poor girl just turned 17 years old and hasn't had a period in over a year and her hair began to fall out so she started going to a nutritionist to see what she could do to improve her diet (or not diet as the case might have been!) and the upshot of the whole thing was that some designers stopped using her altogether b/c she had FAT LEGS. There's something wrong with us when we begin to think that way. The average American woman is 5'4 and like 160 lbs, not 6 feet tall and 110. That's crazy.
I forgot to tell you all that Momma Robin's babies are doing well! I saw them for the first time yesterday and I was so excited! There's at least two of them and they don't make a sound (I expected to hear them). You can see the tops of their heads and their beaks (beeks?) now in the nest. I don't know why I'm so excited about them, but I am!
Wow, that three headed frog is so cool! But I agree, ML, I feel sorry for it too. And what IS in the water if we're creating such oddities?
Good luck to Mr. ML in his job pursuit, I hope he gets whatever makes him happiest. My hubby has a long commute too, around the beltway every morning which is usually insane. So like Poddad, he leaves at the butt-crack of dawn to get through the traffic! Quote: |
I like alien boys and vampires!
| Oh man, don't we all!? I agree that it'll be so sad to watch the last Moonlight, knowing it could well be the last one we'll ever see. I'm afraid that with the failure of Jericho, networks could potentially be less willing to stick their necks out for failed shows from other networks. But IMO Moonlight was NOT a failed show, they just are idiots at CBS.
Cool that you're going to follow your dream and sing! Go ML!
Podmom - I've been to Boone! It's gorgeous there, you'll love it! It reminds me of my college, Frostburg (now University, but used to be State College when I went there) in western Maryland. We looked at Appalachian State when my son was looking into different colleges, very cool college town. The average snowfall for Boone is 54 inches annually. So it gets pretty snowy there (duh!). Boone is becoming quite chi-chi, lots of people seeking cool mountain climates spend the summers there. I'm actually flying into Raleigh-Durham airport today!!! I'm flying Southwest out of Baltimore-Washington tonight at 5:50 and going to see my sister for her birthday. The flight's only an hour long. And you're right, the drive from RDU airport to Boone's got to be a good three hour drive, but once you get into the mountains you'll like the drive. When are you going?
I forgot to get my boarding pass until about an hour and a half AFTER the 24 hour timeframe for Southwest and I got seating number B12. Means I'll be sitting in a middle seat I'm afraid!
Happy graduation day! Quote: |
see Scottie I know some sayings... British I think but still ) so I don't know about it....
| VB - you are cute as a button! Good luck on the interview, I hope you ace it! (That means that you do very well!)
BA - yep, if you don't spend quality time with the hubby, they tend to get testy. Mine does anyway...so have fun! Wen! Hope you're doing well today!
Poor Syesha got booted from American Idol last night. She was my favorite, but I thought she'd probably be let go...
Since I'm going to NC I'll see you all around Monday. I expect we'll almost be on a new thread by then the way things are going... __________________ "Life is hard; it's even harder if you're stupid"--John Wayne |
