| Quote: | They actually said 'What is really dead?' Ugh. I hate them. | To that, I have somewhat figured this:
The concept of being dead. I wonder if there's ever been any cases of people who have dwindled in that space between being alive, and seeing the light. There's a lot of medical miracles. I don't think medical miracles are in a state of being conscious enough to walk, and talk like Claire though. But I wanna know more about THAT. I wanna talk about dead, because the island has always been about dead or not.
Like for instance there's the "ghosts" people see, dead people that they've known in their life. That the island doesn't know, hasn't met, because those people have never been on the island. Then there's Niki/Paulo, who people HATED, but they brought up such an interesting point, THEY WERE BURIED ALIVE. I wonder ... because of the time messups... the delays, and what not--- Is it at all possible that that makes that point of time, the time between being alive, and being dead a little more stretched? Like normally, you get shot like John did, and you bleed out. But what makes you dead? What contributes to being dead? Is it part of shock? And if you take that shock away, are you calm like Claire was? And if you're calm, or rather full of that feeling where you can't feel pain.... those endorphins that are released .... do you survive? Could you survive? Or rather, could your death to be prolonged? And that would be because of the time mess .....
And I do realize that N/P were just paralyzed, I just think it was a shoutout, it was them that made me really start thinking about life vs death, and who else could have survived had they not buried them. So scary to think about, what's worse then being buried alive?
Also, I realize that John survived because of his absence of a kidney. But it was still a seemingly good shot, that you'd think somebody would just bleed from, and die. Not to mention how he could be so injured, and get out of that hole.
Other somewhat jointed thought: Walt (tall Walt, lol) gave Locke the "inspiration" to continue his journey. Abaddon also gave Locke encouragement to continue, and DO Something (which is what got him on the island in the first place). Both call him Mr.Locke. And I know that's his last name, but did anyone else call him that? They just say it the same way. And I'm not saying that Tall Walt is Abbandon, I just find it interesting, Abaddon would have to be time traveling though, because he seems much the same age when we see him with John, and when we see him with Hurley, and Naomi. Anyway. |
