Well I hate to be right - Mr ML and Mr ML Jr got the news today that they're closing the warehouse and laying them all off

(about 6-7 people are left). Mr ML was so in denial, they've been laying people off left and right and he thought for some magical reason it wasn't going to happen to him!

But of course they can stay til June and he's worked there a long time so he gets some severance pay -- so naturally he doesn't think he needs to rush out and find a job too fast! In this economy and at his age??? He should have started looking months ago.

Well, it's not like I didn't see it coming for months now. It might actually be a good thing for my son, might force him to go out on his own and get a life. sigh.

This is it - we're heading straight to the poor house! I'd better look around for a nice shopping cart, to push my belongings around in (when we're sleeping in the park).

Oh, this is post 300, so we should think about starting a new JOF thread soon.
