The Robin Williams "breaking out" of the typecasting comedy roles actually began with 1987's "Good Morning, Vietnam". The only funny parts are the ones when Adrian Cronauer is on the air. The rest of the movie is devistatingly serious.
1989's "Dead Poets Society" was also a very serious Drama. 1990 brought about "Awakenings", another serious Drama about the memoirs of a doctor. "Fisher King" came out in 1991 and was the second movie that Gilliam had used him in. __________________ "You can't expect to weild supreme executive power just because some watery tart threw a sword at ya" -Michael Palin's peasant of the collective. |
