| Gay you hit all the nails right on the head!  I felt Sam was really diconnected in this episode, and with Dean's time just days/weeks away you'd think he'd be right there besided Dean, willing to believe that maybe this is the answer, and if he knew it wasn't then at least be there for Dean to soften the blow when it becomes painfully clear to Dean that this isn't John and this isn't the answer to save him. It seemed that Sam felt bothered by putting up with Dean at all when there was a hunt to be done.
