Well, let's think about it - we have two more seasons, right? If the writers end the triangle by the end of this season, which I think they could because of the Sawyer/Kate breakup and the whole Jack/Kate-in-the-future thing, then there'd be time to develop Sawyer and Claire a little. Especially if the Oceanic Six leave the island at the end of this season, and we see what goes on the lives of the people are who still on the island (Locke, Sawyer, Claire, etc.), it could be a real possibility. I mean, I won't get my hopes up or anything, but if the writers wanted to go this way, they definitely could.
