| Having butted into the conversation, I should answer the original question. If we're talking about all time favorites, it's going to have to be Tolkien. The Hobbit got me into fantasy books and I still re-read The Lord of the Rings.
If I was going for current writers, I think I'd pick George R. R Martin. I'be been really taken by his Song of Ice and Fire sequence. |
