I think it's beyond the joke that he'd talk to his own fiancee like that. He didn't even act that bad with Sarah, his first wife, and she left him for another man.
Jack's pathetic and I really hope he ends up alone. He doesn't deserve any woman because he treats them like doormats and talks about 'fixing' them all the time. At least he said to Sarah "you fixed me." He'd never say that to Kate because he undermines her as a person and I honestly don't understand why people ship these two together.
