More Fan Questions Answered!

Here are a few more fan submitted questions Peter answered for the fans. Enjoy!

-------------------------------------------------------------

I know this may be one of the most absurd questions that you have ever been asked, but I was actually wondering what brand of contact lenses do you guys use on the set?

The contacts are custom made for the film.

1. I read somewhere that Bella and Edward fly ABOVE the trees for the meadow scene. Is that true?

No. Edward does not turn into superman. Lol

2. How closely does the movie follow the book? I know that the movie is "based" on the book, but does it have everything, like Port Angeles, and Bella fainting during blood typing?

Like any adaptation, it’s hard to get the whole book into a two hour story. It does stay pretty faithful to the story, and the characters, but we would never be able to fit 500+ pages in.

3. How big is the baseball diamond? Is it average sized or larger then life?

I think it will appear somewhat larger, even though we shot it on a regular size.

4. What attracted you to the role initially?

A Vampire movie that is set within a beautiful love story rather than dipped in the horror genre.

5. Has anyone in your family read the Twilight Saga?

My oldest daughter is reading TWILIGHT right now.

6. Are you relived to know that no fangs are involved?

Yes.

7. What scene are looking forward to acting out most from the book?

I’ve had the most fun, with VAMPIRE BASEBALL.

8. What do you think will be the biggest challenge playing the character Carlisle?

The biggest challenge is satisfying the fans. Its a tall order. Everyone has a version of Carlisle in their imagination from the book. I hope they stay opened to my interpretation.

9. Will you acting with a British accent in the movie at all?

No. Carlisle is from England originally, but it has been a long time since he lived there. Personally, I grew up in New York, and had a very thick New York accent growing up, and no longer have it all. People move to different places and they adapt to their surroundings. I felt Carlisle would have lost his British accent in order to fit in , and not bring unwanted attention to himself.

That being said, "You can take the boy out of England, but you cannot take the England out of the boy. I do play Carlisle with a very proper American speech pattern, which brings the roots of his heritage to the screen. He also holds himself very refined, and gentlemanly, as I thought it was importatant to keep the essence of his upbringing with him through the years. Hopefully you will feel his roots in my performance. A few fans have been dissapointed that I chose not to do an English accent, but I spoke to Stephenie Meyer about it, and she pointed out that although the books do say where he is from, Bella never mentions that Carlisle speaks with a British accent, and that if it were that obvious, it is something that probably would have been pointed out by her in the books, especially, upon meeting him.

10. Will there be any scenes of the Cullen’s hunting?

No, but there is mention.
And twilightObsessed over the Lex found some pics with the "Cullen crest" here (Alice's nekclace) and here (Emmett's wistband).
