Kiki has her set account for today up!

Quote:
It was a LONG day. First of all, I overslept and missed my call time. Thankfully I was able to haul major ass to set and ended up not being too horribly late. We spent the entire 12 hour day in the cafeteria. There was collectively over 100 people there, and though it wasn't entirely chaotic, things on set were a lot more impersonal than the previous days had been. Running into the actors was much more difficult. Today extras had to eat separately from any cast and crew, and we had to go through our own lunch line.

It was pretty repetitive and not very eventful, but there were some memorable moments. Today we shot the cafeteria scene of day 3 where Bella sees the Cullens for the first time and all the Edward/Bella stare-age happens. The way they shot it was very weird, but it will make sense when it's all put together. First they shot the first half of the scene with Bella and the Forks kids talking about random stuff (BTW there is a hilarious Tyler and Mike moment in this scene). Then they shot the Cullens coming into the cafeteria(they look completely out of place when you see how all of the extras and Forks kids look) and Bella's reaction. Then they did close ups of the two Cullen couples and Edward. The close ups took FOREVER...it was ridiculous. Even the actors were complaining, which is a first from what I have seen this week. Finally they shot three scenes of the Cullens at their lunch table. I did not hear much from the scenes, though one of them is pretty funny thanks to Emmett. Another one is them talking about how maybe they should just kill Bella(I'm assuming this is the day that Edward and Bella sit alone since Rob wasn't in the scene). The last one is mainly about when Edward first sees Bella and is trying to figure out why he can't hear her. His facial expressions are great, especially when he's reacting to Jessica! It was such an Edward moment...amusement and shame-on-you all in one.

Alice and Jasper are great together, and their respective actors together are extremely touchy-feely and always together, though I have never seen them kiss. Jackson is very intense. Sometimes he goes off by himself and just watches what's going on. His and Ashley's entrance into the cafeteria will be great...they ARE Jasper and Alice. Both are very detailed and committed to their characters. They are the less social kids of the Cullen clan. They look much better in person than in pictures(including poor Jacksper and his hair), which is actually something that can be said for all of the actors, in my opinion.

Kellan is really funny and a jokester...he IS Emmett. He is very tall, taller than Rob it seems, and definitely hits the gym a lot. He was carrying around that bag of hard-boiled eggs again, but I never actually saw him eat one. I saw him with a banana and OK magazine, though. A fellow extra had an encounter with him, and he is unbelievably normal and nice! Unfortunately I was never in the position to approach him, but he said that he really wanted to go out soon, and hinted that he would want to meet up with us tonight. Sadly we didn't see him again after we wrapped to work out the details and give him the scrapbook, but I'm going to try again tomorrow. He knows about me and the scrapbook for sure now, and commented on how sweet it was.

Nikki Reed is awesome, and surprisingly funny! She's always joking around on set and laughing in between takes. At one point I was standing maybe a foot away from her and Kellan while Rob was shooting a close up, and Nikki suddenly says "do you remember the Little Mermaid? You know those little guppies that Ursula squeezed and used as lipstick? That's what Rob looks like right now."

Here's the biggie: remember how Stephenie Meyer said she'd be going back to set soon? Yeah, she was there all day today from start to finish. She was incredibly nice and spoke to all of the actors, and at lunchtime she came to visit the extras! A lot of people got pictures with her and asked her questions and whatnot. By the time I realized what was going on, she was surrounded by tons of people, but I did manage to get two pictures of her with my cell phone, which I will upload tomorrow hopefully.

A few bits from the day:
-In Rosalie and Emmett's walk into the cafeteria, Emmett is supposed to say or do something make Rosalie smile. In one take, I saw him slap her ass. Yeah.
-The Forks dialogue is hilarious! Eric, Mike, and Tyler really shine in this scene. This was the first time I had actually seen Tyler act, and he's pretty good!
-Rob was reading a book between takes earlier in the day. I couldn't see what it was, but he looked so into it! A very Edward moment.
-All of the actors were having problems with their contacts, especially Kellan. They all frequently had to use saline drops or take them out completely between takes.
-Fans have started standing outside of Madison and waiting for the actors to come out after wrapping. Thankfully they'll only be there one or two more days. The actors work so hard and are so tired by the end of the day(if I'm this exhausted by the end of the day just from being an extra, imagine how THEY must feel), and though I know they appreciate the support, they deserve privacy and respect just like everyone else.

That's about it for today, guys. I'm beginning to get really burnt out. I have had a BLAST working on the movie, but at the same time I'm plain exhausted. I've gone 5 AM to 7 PM everyday since Tuesday, and I'm just not used to the on-set lifestyle(though some of the actors are very tired as well - I saw Bella down one of those liquid energy shots. Then she commented on how it tasted like ****). Tomorrow is supposed to be my last day, but Saturday might still happen just depending on how tomorrow goes. I honestly wish I didn't have to leave...the waiting sucks and it's exhausting, but if you're into the movie industry or you're passionate about the project, it's the opportunity of a lifetime. I wouldn't give this experience up for anything, and will never forget the time I have spent working as an extra in Twilight. Tomorrow might be my last report, so check back then.
