I decided to be optimistic and to be logical:
- When Derek returned with Addison, they didn't make love after a long time and when he slept with her, it was either bad or he imagined Meredith, or it was by pure revange (nb: when he saw her with Finn's Tshirt)
- From what we known of Derek,he's not seeking a physical relationship but commitment with a person.
Six weeks is not long for someone with Derek'standarts. While he slept with Meredith the same evening, but the circumstances were different, we all know that he is in love with Meredith, and it takes more than 6 weeks to move beyond sex with the plant.
Addison was his wife, he had/has more feelings for her than he has for the nurse and yet the sex was a chore for him.
With Shonda'statements, to put Derek and Meredith together and do this in a credible manner, if Derek sleep with the plant, the show is dead, all the declarations of love he has done to Meredith would be lies and Derek and Mer together would not be credible. |
