| The Astros are hot at exactly the right time, sweeping St Louis is huge...I don't think they've been swept all year? Did they play second stringers the whole series?
I thinking more and more that Astros might take it.
Last night's loss was horrific, not just the ramifications of losing so miserably at such a bad time (two errors in the tenth and one gigantic mental lapse) but Dustan Mohr, one of our rightfielders, hurt himself pretty badly to end the game. It was just...poop. This guy I know wore a sign around his neck going into work that said, "Do not talk to me about last night's Giants game." I laughed but only to keep from crying. Being a fan of one of *those* teams (Cubs, Red Sox, Indians...etc) is just NO fun sometimes.
ETA: I can't believe the Hawkins thing worked out so badly for the Cubs, this guy was nearly untouchable when he pitched for the Twins. (I think it was the Twins...?) And then there's his bad attitude to boot. __________________ eye jus loofe leewkus |
