To be fair it does better milleage than a Hummer H3, a Porsche Cayenne, and a Lamborghini Murcielago.

But again. She didn't write it and as they say if you can't do.. teach.

I saw her individual PR spot when they first came out and based on the wardrobe and on her spot with Lauren I think that is was supposed to be Rory and Lorelai promoting an end to global warming, not really Alexis and Lauren. They were wearing their character's clothes and on the set of the show. The dialogue was also more the way Rory and Lorelai interact than the way Alexis and Lauren probably interact. And Rory did drive a hybrid car!
