Well, I got my hair done and now instead of Javier Bardem, I look like...

..Barbara Streisand and her bubble cut at the Oscars!! Hellooo, gorgeous! Hm, guess I won't say that to the Blood Ties boys when I see them (although it would be true)! I brought pictures of them to show the beautician and she likes that show and also Moonlight!

I also mentioned Moonlight to one of my dog-walking neighbors awhile back and I saw her later and she was like "Oh gawd, Moonlight... that guy! He's so handsome..." she was all fannish and sputtering and speechless -- it was really cute! Another convert to the vamp from down under.

I usually pack for whatever remote eventuality (tsunami, sudden audience to see the Queen) but I really want to do carry-on and I want to squash everything in my tiniest overnight bag. And I know I'm not going to be there long and not going to do any variety of things. Just packing summer slacks and t shirt, jeans and flannel shirt - the jacket is the problem - I'll be lugging that around I'm sure. I used to pretty much pack as much as I could possibly carry.

Oh well, I say that now... then I start throwing in extra outfits! LOL! "Oh might need the snow shoes... or the snorkel.. or a guitar..." I'm not nearly as strong as I used to be, for lugging stuff around either.

Your weather is way ahead of ours (and ours is way ahead of what Maggie and FL have in Montreal). Just the teensy tips of the bulbs were peeking out of the ground here and no robins yet. But the snow seems to be all melted (at least until the next snow! Although it might be rain - it's been such a rainy winter).

LOL, I was still getting ads for sweating and men's underwear. I think it's some Google program that links the ads to what you're talking about, or a close approximately. Clever and sort of scary!

I can see that yoga being like childbirth - I sort of thought giving birth was what running a marathon is like, some incredibly physical transcendent type effort, and you are so wiped out but totally jubilant and stoked when you cross that finish line/get that little bundle in the blanket.

Funny, my friend watched New Amsterdam and she said exactlly what I said - odd nose, nice accent, and what's up with him going around saying "I fought in the War of 1812" and other not-too-secretive stuff about being immortal! He just says stuff like this all through the pilot and all he gets is the occasional "huh?" look from the people he's with.

It's cool he makes 'antique' furniture and his friend sells it now and then for big $. He's probably had a lot of different careers over all the centuries! Interesting concept. Not sure yet if it's a good show or not.

I am so antsy... oh well, got to try getting some work done!
