I define them as meant to be. Their chemistry, their love are undeniable. They may have a bad time adjusting the different moment they are living in their lives, but their souls are connected since day one and sooner or later it will surpase their reasons, their understanding and they will turn into one and their hearts will beat together. And from this moment on nothing will let them down.

Meredith and Derek are the reason I fell in love with Grey's Anatomy in the first place. Meredith and Derek are very much a symbol of hope. There relationship can sometimes be messy, but they support each other, they'll break the rules for each other, and, deep-down, it's clear that they're made for each other. The writers seem to love to keep Meredith and Derek apart, but the fans always stick by them, because no matter what, we know they are true love.

Defining these two or telling you what my opinion of them is hard!! Most certainly, these two are awesome! I believe they are destined to be together; they are soulmates. They need each other!

So for me Meredith and Derek are the picture of true love, sure it's not a cinderlla story but we can identify to them. They are one of those couples who even apart is a couple. It's always Meredith and Derek or Derek and Meredith. Okay they both made mistakes but hello they are only humans and their mistakes make their love even stronger if that's possible. No matter how much they try to deny it, by choosing Addison, dating some guys, flirting with Lexie & Rose, their love is always there. So yeah for me Meredith & Derek are meant to be, even if they stay apart for awhile but at the end of the day the only thing that it's sure it's their love for each other.

Meredih and Derek are gorgoues together. They have so much love, passion and burning chemistry. But I also love that they are fun and playful in a way that shows how happy they are together.

Meredith and Derek are the it couple of Greys Anatomy. Every show on television has a pair that is "meant to be," "destined," "soulmates," whatever you want to call it. M/D are definately that couple. It was shown since day 1 that those two were supposed to be together. Their relationship has had so many ups and downs, but its one of the things that makes them so loveable. They have flaws, they arent perfect, and their timing never seems to be just right. But despite all of these issues, its still clear where their hearts really lay. They're never able to completly give themselves to anyone else but each other. Their relationship is magical

MD are one of the most special couples i have ever seen. They have had so many ups and downs before, and have endured so much and yet the love they have for each other still stays strong. They share a special bond with one another that not all couples experience. They have the most magnificent chemistry with one another, they have a way of understanding each other without words, and no matter what they go through they are constantly aware of one another and ready to protect each other without a second thought. i think that one quote that explains MD perfectly is 'love is like a mountain: hard to climb, but once you get to the top the view is beautiful"...and that is exactly the case with these two...they are so beautiful together...the way he smiles at her, the way her eyes light up when he's around, the way they look at each other...they have the love everyone hopes to experience and i think thats what makes them so special.

After Gilmore Girls finished I really thought there could never be another TV-show couple I'd love that much again but then there were Meredith and Derek! The chemistry was as great as between LL and it only took me some episodes to fall in love with them. I hope to get all steps of their relationship and some really romantic episodes. Miss them at the moment.

Meredith and Derek. Derek and Meredith. They have gone through so much in so little time. They went through courting, deception, heartbreak, love, loss, and that was just season 2 for them. Season 2 was the season where I realized that these two are soulmates. They were not going to be the couple that went through their seasons were they were so in love, and then the next they were going to hate each other and move on. They were it, whether at the time they realized it or not.
They have both of flaws. Of course they do! They're human. Meredith needs to learn how to trust, and Derek needs to learn how to be a bit more patient. They have sacrificed, more than one really can: family, friends, protection, walls, maybe even a part of themselves.
Will they make it through? Most likely, because love will prevail. Will there be twists and more heartbreak along the way. Of course, but that's what makes it real.

I like to believe that ship soulmates, so that's what they are to me. Even though they both have their own issues, they compliment each other, they are there for one another. I don't think they'll be able to let go of one another ever. They are just so part of each other that I don't think they'll be able to function apart.

Meredtih and Derek are meant to be. They found each other in a bar full of people and they never let go. It's amazing that they can communicate without actually speaking words. And their just HOT together. It's an undying love not matter what will come in their way. They are not a perfect couple but who cares when they simply love each other. There are not only good times, but their relationship will just grow as a result. Seriously they are Meredith & Derek. It's the perfect love.

It's taken me a long time to finally put into words what I feel about the relationship between Meredith Grey and Derek Shepherd, because theirs is one that I hold very dear and special to my heart. Since the beginning, it was very evident there was a spark and connection between these two characters, that never faded - throughout all of the angst and turmoil these two have been thrown in to, I believe that their bond has only grown stronger; it's clearly evident in every scene these two have together.
Though they may not be together right now, I do not believe their love has diminished; it's buried beneath the surface, waiting to re-emerge and be brought back to life. The love these two share is true and that once in a lifetime love everybody looks for. They give me hope and make me believe that true love is out there.

MD are all: sweet, sexy, cute, complicated, amazing, naught and both are gorgeous!
But most of all they are (in) love!
So I thought about what a dictionary would say about love and compared a few definitions about it with MerDer:

-a profoundly tender, passionate affection for another person

Hell yeah! The´re definitely passionate and the definition really fits for them, even if they don´t get it always.

-a feeling of warm personal attachment or deep affection, as for a parent, child, friend or partner

They always care and cared about each other even as they were apart.
He comforts her ( example 2x15, supply closet) and she cheers him up (4x08 bench outside the hospital)!

-sexual passion or desire

Ha.ha! Well, I don´t bring examples because there are sooo many...
I think it´s very clear that sexual passion and desire have never been a problem!
