| I totally agree. I've always said that the best love stories have lots of angst and we got SO much of it in the 3rd season. it was SOOOO obvious how in love they are. Everything they did was to get over the other.
Jack saw Kate and Sawyer sleep together, so he distanced himself. why? because he's in love with her, simple as that. that's why when he said "because i love you," it sounded so casual. it all just comes down to that. everything, abosultely EVERYTHING is complicated, but the fact that he loves her is just so simple. that's why he distanced himself, that's why he spent more time with Juliet and that's why he let her be with Sawyer. and she loves him too. She pined for him all season. Tried to use sex as the means to do so. Tried to get his attention, stayed loyal to him in the process and acted jealous for a big part of it too. I think S3 was their season of longing. the season where it came to a point that they love each other so much, that they can't really handle being so close like they used to be because they aren't together. S3 is the season i made my ultimate choice as to who kate belongs with. |
