| Quote: Hi
In which episode did Ray say 'I love you' to Neela?
When did he say it wasn't her fault? | Hi Erstwhile -- welcome!
I believe this is referring to Episode 11.13 ("Middleman") where Neela comes in for her shift and tells Ray that the shower's fixed, and he says "Hallelujah, I love you!" (and then she tells him he owes her 80 bucks. lol!) But as sharstarz said, the real "i fell in love with you" didn't come until last year's season finale.
The part about "it's not her fault" is from this season when Neela and Katey argue (the Gravity episode, I think...). Neela says that Ray told her himself that his accident wasn't her fault. Quote: | I think it would have been worse for Ray's absence to be some lame explanation like, "he's visiting his sick mother". This tragedy has motivated fans more than ever to pelt NBC with requests for a resolution, and I think our voices have been heard by the writers because of that. I think, and hope, we will get the happy ending we deserve, and I think it will be even more satisfying in light of what's happened to these two characters. | I sure hope you are right, Galaxy, but I for one would have gladly taken something like a paralysis or coma or even a band gig as a reason for Ray's absence -- something you know he can come back from as himself (ie, the Ray we know). This need for TPTB to mutilate and/or kill off characters when actors want to leave is what irritates me. It's like they said, 'oh he wants to leave? Fine, let's cut off Ray's legs.' It also keeps the character of Neela open to undue criticism and resentment from the fans who feel like her actions led to what happened. The tragedy of his amputation can make for a heart-wrenching and even uplifting storyline if he returns, but Ray and Neela have had enough angst. I just want them to be happy without the complications. |
