May and June are the filming dates (if I'm reading the announcement correctly). If there is a season 2 for Aliens, it should start filming around mid- to end-July. And there's no guarantee that there will be a season 2 of Aliens. And, if he (Scott) knows that there isn't a season 2 Aliens, he might be getting himself ready for a new series -- all this not knowing what is what with the writers strike -- as well as -- the CW and/or WB not telling us what projects they have cut and which they are going forward with.
