Maybe... I've never had a problem like that before, and I remember thinking serious shipping was silly and frivilous, actually. Then I got into DC less than 2 years ago (thanks to the DVDs) and I just had such strong feelings about it... plus, I couldn't help what charfacters/storylines interested me, no matter how much I tried.
All of my other shows, the couples don't really phase me very much... I've always been a multi-shipper for the most part. But apparently not when it comes to DC.
Multi-shipping is definitely easier on the nerves... you don't go through a roller coaster of emotions all the time.
But then again that's why I love DC so much in the first place.
