Liesbeth posted a great dyojs at LF! I would like to have a dream like this one...

Quote:
Season 4 - So Team Jate had been on a trek through the jungle all day and now the night falls..

Jack and Kate are sitting in the jungle, darkness all around them.. quitly watching their fire go out.

"Well we should try and get some sleep." Jack says, looking at Kate in the corner of his eyes.
Kate slowly looks up at him, still little sleepy from watching the fire all this time and resting her head on her knees.
"Yeah, euhm yes good idea." She answers with a shy smile, knowing he would notice the nervous tone in her voice. As answering her thoughts Jack smiled back. Kate turned around to grabb her backback, not letting him notice that her cheeks were starting to colour red. Jack nodded to himself in amusement and grabbed his backpack as well. They both pulled out a blacket and covered themselves in it as they both laid down next to the extinguishing fire.

Jack laid his arms under his head, eyes facing the sky. Well as far as you could see the sky through the leaves of the trees above them. He looked at Kate and saw her shiver.
"Are you cold?" He asked in a low voice and she turned to face him.
"No, I'm. I'm fine." Jack smiled, knewing she would say that and he raised his eyes brows. Kate laughed. "Okay, I'm cold." Jack joined and moved closer to her, a lot closer now it was Kate's turn to raise her eyes brows. She tried to ignore the shiver of exitement as she felt his warm skin sliding over her cold arm. His warm breath falling upon her cold face. As if reading her thought Jack looked her straight in the eyes.
"Sharing our body heat will make us both feel warmer." He said in his doctor voice but she could her the boyish tone behind it.
"Ain't that convient for you." She flirted and he laughed. She nuzzled a little closer to him now, she couldn't help it, when he laughed. When she made him laugh there was nothing in the world that could keep her from loving him.
"Sorry." Kate said softly.
"Yeah well, I'm not." he smiled and she did too. They both looked up at the sky, lying closly behind each other.

"Woow." Jack said in amazement. Kate nodded.
"I used to do this almost every night, when I was a kid." She said and stopped. She wanted to tell Jack all about her life, but she had always been so scared about sharing it with him, anyone for that mather. But this felt right. It had always felt right when she had shared something with him.
"Me and my friend, Tom. We used to watch the stars almost every night. Playing Pictionary with the stars." She smiled at the thought. Jack looked at her. Knowing she was just sharing something with him, knowing she just wanted him to listen and he did.

"I bet in LA you didn't got to do that huh?" Kate asked him and Jack laughed.
"Nope." He answered. "It's weird you know, this might be the last couple of stars I will see in a long time. If everything turns out as planned, we'll be on our way... back tomorrow." Jack didn't used the word home, he couldn't.
"Are you gonna miss this?" Kate asked and Jack looked at her. Kate looked down, now she couldn't hide her shy cheeck. "The stars I mean." She added, hoping he wouldn't notice the metaphor, but he did.
"More then you can imagine." Jack said, starring deeply into her eyes, making sure he got her full attention. Just like he had done when they had talked about their kiss. Starring in her eyes, waiting for that spark of understanidng, that recognition of a truth he was now sharing with her, and she parted her lips.
"I can." And closed them again. Reality drifted away as he gazed into the irises of the beautiful woman in front of him. Her brown cruls softly flying with the breeze of the night as the small light of the fire shined upon her soft skin. Hope brimmed from her eyes and burned through his soul. Both aware of the tension that is boiling up between them, he broke in a smile and they both looked away, back at the stars.
"Well I could always buy an island and stare at the stars all the time."
Kate nodded. "Of course, and you definatly should buy some polar bears too."
Jack nodded back. "Yeah and a smoke monster."
Kate smiled at this. "Oh and hire some people with fake beards to play 'the others'!"
"Whats an island without people with fake beard huh?" Jack said.
"Exactly." They both broke into a laugh that only demished in the nigth after some time. He turned his head back at the sky.
She followed his movement. Their hands both lying beside their bodies. Almost touching, she glanced up at him and could see the smile in his eyes as he surveyed the stars.

"What time it is?" She suddenly asked. Jack gave her a weird look but decided just to answer her question so he grabbed his watch that was lying on his backpack. He looked at it. "The exact time."

Jack gave her another weird look but he noticed she wasn't kidding.
"Eleven Fiftynine and fourty seconds" he answerd and looked at her. Kate just nodded and lied back again. She knew Jack was looking at her, question written all over his face but she smiled and didn't say a thing. Giving up Jack lied back again. Kate waited for a few seconds.

5, 4, 3, 2, 1

Kate moved her head from her spot and moved towards Jack's. She laid her hand softly on his chest. Her lips moving closer towards his face. For normal people this would all be happening in a few seconds but for them it seemed like forever. And without the slightest inclination of what she was doing she planted a kiss on his cheek, almost touching his lips. As she moved away her lips brushed past his cheek. A suprised look covered his face, sparkling eyes.

"Happy Christmass, Jack." She wispered in his ear. Moving back to her spot and closing her eyes while a smile played on her lips. Jack was still starring at her. Slowly a smile rised on his lips before he laid back.

"Goodnight Kate."
Sorry if I posted it, Liesbeth.
